To meet with students during a virtual career fair on Handshake, you must first claim your schedule. Claiming ensures that students can see your availability and sign up for sessions.
In addition to claiming your own schedule, you can also claim a schedule on behalf of a teammate.
Note: An active employer user account is required to claim a schedule. Not set up yet? Create an Employer User Account, Join a Company, and Connect with Schools.

Claim your schedule via email
If your organization sets up a schedule for you, you'll receive an email invitation with fair details:
The email will read:

Please review and claim your spot at this fair as soon as possible. Students will not be able to sign up to meet with you until you have completed this.

Click the black button Review and claim schedule to log in and confirm your spot. Students won’t be able to sign up for your sessions until this is completed.

Claim your schedule on Handshake
1. Click Fairs from the left navigation bar, then select the fair you want to claim your schedule for.
Tip: Check the Show Registered Only box to view only the fairs you've registered for.
2. On the career fair overview page, click the Schedule tab, then click the white button Manage.
3. In the pop-up modal, click the blue button Claim schedule.
- If the pop-up modal does not appear, you can also click the blue button Claim Schedule on the Schedule tab.
Claim your teammate's schedule on their behalf
In the Schedule tab, locate their name from the Name dropdown, then click the blue button Claim Schedule.
- Ensure your teammate is available on the day of the fair.
- Teammates will not be notified when their schedule is claimed for them.
