The Owner role is limited to one user per company profile. This user has the highest level of administrative access in Handshake, including the ability to edit the company’s branding page and manage teammates, depending on the employer account type.
The owner also serves as the primary point of contact for the company, both for communications from Handshake and for teammates requesting access.
Owner access & permissions
Owners have all available permissions enabled by default, depending on their company's partnership with Handshake.
Basic employers do not have access to role management or customization. While owners can view available roles and permissions via their company settings, they cannot assign roles or transfer ownership.

Essentials and Enterprise (formerly TES) customers can access additional roles and features based on their selected plan and modules. Owners can customize role-level permissions and assign roles to teammates.
