Handshake offers a unique opportunity for students to connect with employers through virtual career fair sessions.
To sign up for a virtual career fair and employer sessions, refer to Signing Up for & Managing Virtual Fair Sessions.
Access your schedule
On the day of the fair, you can access your schedule in Handshake via:
- the career fair banner
- your registered events
Career fair banner
Click on the H, located in the upper-right corner of the screen.
On your homepage, a banner is displayed as a reminder for the career fair - click the link Go to your schedule, to be directed to your registered sessions.
Registered events
Click Events on the left navigation menu.
On the event's discovery page, click the button Registered, located in the upper-right corner of the page.
On the side sheet that appears, locate the career fair you're attending sessions at, and click on the name of the fair.
Once the event is chosen from the side sheet, the career fairs details page will load in Handshake. Click the tab Your schedule to access your registered sessions.
Join your session
Once you've accessed your schedule in Handshake, all the sessions you've signed up for are displayed. Sessions are in the order of when they take place, with the closest one at the top and the furthest away at the bottom. Any past sessions are displayed below that.
To join your registered session, click the blue button Join video.
