The posting page provides a centralized view of a job's details and activity after it has been created and saved.
Access by employer type
Basic employers
- Owners and Recruiters can only manage, edit, or download data for jobs they personally created.
- Jobs posted by other teammates will appear on your list but are view-only.
- Access is limited to the Overview and Job details tabs. The Schools, Matches, and Applicants tabs will not be accessible.
- To gain full access to manage all jobs and download data, you must upgrade to an eligible paid plan.
On-campus employers, Plus, Pro, Essentials, and Enterprise customers
- All users, except Representatives, can manage, edit, and download data for both their own jobs and those posted by teammates, provided they have the appropriate permissions.
- On-campus employers: You must be designated as an on-campus employer in your profile settings to manage jobs created by yourself and teammates. This designation is enabled by the owner of the company profile. Learn more about Identifying as an On-Campus Employer on Handshake.
Features available only to Premium partners are indicated by an asterisk (*). For more information, please check out this resource.
Access the posting page
Click Jobs from the left navigation bar, then select the job you want to review. Learn more about Navigating the Jobs Page.
Click the three-dot menu icon in the upper-right corner to:
- Edit job
- Duplicate job
- Promote job
- Close job
- Copy link
Note: If you're on a Basic plan and did not create the job, the options to edit, duplicate, and close the job are not available. To manage jobs and applicants created by teammates, upgrade to an eligible paid plan.
Review job details
The job posting page is organized into five tabs, each with specific information about the job.
Overview
Monitor your job's performance through metrics and recommendations. View aggregate performance data for:
- Applicants
- Job Views*
- Reach

Schools
View your job's school postings, approval status, and recommended schools.

Recommended schools
- Handshake recommends schools based on the number of qualified candidates at each school who meet your job's criteria. For more information, refer to School Network Management: School Recommendations.

Post to more schools
- Use the keyword search to find a school by name or location. If your employer has access to the Open Network, the checkbox for Post to full network is visible. Learn How to Connect with Handshake Open Network.
- To remove a school, click the X to the right of their name.
- To post your job to the selected school(s), click the Post button.
- Use the keyword search to find a school by name or location. If your employer has access to the Open Network, the checkbox for Post to full network is visible. Learn How to Connect with Handshake Open Network.

Requested schools
- Filter by approval status using the checkboxes to the right of the keyword search. Click the three hash marks to the far right of each school row to access additional actions.
- View Details: Opens a pop-up window with approval status, application dates, applicant count, and comments.
- View School: Opens the school's profile, where you can review contact information and approval status.
- Filter by approval status using the checkboxes to the right of the keyword search. Click the three hash marks to the far right of each school row to access additional actions.
Matches
The Matches tab displays candidates from your approved school connections who are likely to respond to your outreach and who meet all the job qualifications specified in the job posting.

Applicants
The Applicants tab displays the total number of applicants. On this page, you can apply filters to narrow your search results.

Job details
The Job details tab includes the posting information visible to schools, along with options to add or manage labels, add notes, review a tracking code, and view applicant package recipients.
