The Handshake Open Network includes students from accredited 4-year institutions and community colleges in the United States that are not yet Handshake partner schools.
These students can create Handshake accounts to explore employer profiles, apply to jobs, and use many of the same career features available to students at partner schools.
Posting jobs to the Open Network
All employers can reach Open Network students by posting a job to all schools on Handshake.
When creating a job post, select the option to share your job with all schools:
Auto-select schools: Visible to Basic, Plus, and Pro employers.
Post to full network: Visible to Essentials and TES customers.
This automatically shares your job with all schools in your network and with students in the Open Network.
Jobs must meet the standard Handshake posting criteria:
Approved by at least one school
Paid position
Not an on-campus, co-op, or federal work-study role
Not located at a residential address
