On Handshake, you can obtain approval from schools by posting your job to the schools you want to recruit from, or by contacting each school of interest directly and asking for approval.
Approval process
Schools partnered with Handshake are responsible for approving or declining employer requests to connect, and each has different guidelines when choosing which jobs and employers to approve.
To connect with a school(s) and perform recruiting activities, you can either:
- Post a job to the school(s) you want to recruit from.
- Learn How to Post a Job.
- Contact the school(s) directly and ask to be approved if you do not have a job to post.
- Find How to Contact a School.
Your request(s) will remain in a pending state until the school(s) determines whether to approve or decline it. Learn more About "Pending" Status at a School and How to Check This Status.
Once your company or job is approved at a school, you can post events, search for, and message students at that school.
Note: you can search for and register for a career fair without connecting with a school or posting a job.
